Dart Forum

Overview

Picture shows a meeting of The Dart Forum in progress

The Dart Forum gives members a chance to socialise and hear from different speakers.

The Dart Forum provides the public and agencies with responsibilities for the administration of activities in, or around the Dart Estuary with an opportunity for debating issues relating to the estuary.

The Forum is the umbrella organisation, established by DEEM for any agency, statutory or otherwise, private or public, who is interested in promoting good environmental practice and sustainable use of the River Dart. The Forum can nominate, by ballot, two of its members to sit on the DEEM Steering Committee. For this purpose, each organisation within the Forum has a single, equal vote.

" The Dart Forum provides an opportunity for debating issues relating to the Dart Estuary "

Two public Dart Forum meetings are held each year, in the evenings of the last Thursday of May and November. The venues alternate between Dartmouth (May) and Totnes (Nov). Anyone with an interest in the Dart Estuary can attend. Details of the meetings are posted in the local press and announced on local radio.
